For the last week I have noticed that while I have been doing my EntreCard dropping rounds that certain websites load much slower. So slow in fact that it takes me hours and hours just to drop 100 cards. In most cases I get enough of it and close the tabs and go offline or do something else.
At first I thought it was my internet connection playing up, but since that wasn’t the case I browsed through the EntreCard forum to see if other people had the same problem. Fortunately I am not alone on this; other people were having the same problem and were pointing the finger to the SezWho comment system that makes the pages load much slower.
So… since I know how annoying it can be to come across very slow loading sites while doing the EntreCard drop rounds I have decided to uninstall it from my blog. Sorry for the peeps who only comment to get extra credits, but honestly I don’t mind it all. I rather have people commenting because they want to give their two cents anyway.

The first time I heard the term condo hotel I wasn’t sure what it was. Is it a condo or is it a hotel? Curious as always I decided to look it up, so here’s what I found. A condo hotel is usually one of those high-rise buildings operating as luxury hotels, but that have condo units that serve as a full-service vacation home. When you own one of those condo’s and you’re out of town you can let the hotel do the marketing and management to rent and manage the condo unit as it would a normal hotel room. There you go… Learned another thing on this boring Saturday!

Yesterday was an awesome day for the Dutch sport; two Olympic gold medals. The first and definitely the most inspirational medal went to Dutch swimmer Maarten van der Weijden who won the 10 km open water swim.
I don’t think I can think of anyone else who deserves a gold medal more than him. Seven years ago Maarten van der Weijden got diagnosed with leukemia and after spending 6 months in hospital he survived this horrible disease to come back and become the first Olympic champion on this new Olympic sport.
The second gold medal for Holland yesterday was sensational as well. The Dutch waterpolo girls surprised everyone when they kicked Italy out of the tournament in the quarter finals and reached the finals by beating the ever so strong team of Hungary in the semi-finals.
In the finals they had to play the world champions; the United States. In a very exiting sit-on-the-edge-of-your-seat match the Dutch girls were victorious and grabbed the gold medal with a 9-8 score. No one expected Holland to get this far let alone win the Olympic tournament. But they worked so hard for it and they definitely deserved the win!

One of things I like to do when I am bored is surfing the web for funny stuff. Today I came across a website that sells very modern home furniture. They had some contemporary chairs on display that were amazing. I do wonder however if you could ever get comfortable on them. Personally I would never buy something like the chair on the picture, but I am sure that there are people out there who would love to own one.
I always think it’s great to see what trends are coming up, but lately it just seemed to get pretty boring. I am not a big fan of all that modern stuff, I rather feel like I am at home instead of living in ’showroom’ or a house out of a magazine. But… every one has their own taste. I am sure not every one likes my furniture either. Most of my furniture is solid oak and some of them have wood carvings. And I absolutely love my Moroccan lamps all through out the house.
To make a long story short; I rather be comfy than modern. How about you?

Just stumbled upon this funny quiz about Olympic sports. Turns out that I am Triathlon. I love watching triathlon and although I am sure I would be good at the swimming and bike riding part I would never be able to do the running because of my back problems. My absolute favorite sport all time to do is waterpolo!
You are Triathlon
In one word, you are simply amazing.
Super competent, super driven, and super skilled - you bring a lot to the table.
You rise to any challenge, and you enjoy challenging yourself.
What Olympic Sport Are You?
