I remember that when my hubby needed new prescription glasses that we waited as long as possible to get new ones because we didn’t had the money for it. The lenses were scratched real bad, the legs were bent, he really needed a new pair. We managed to stretch it out until we went on holiday to Holland. I think I’m turning into an Ebay junkie. Since my partner and me don’t have much money to spend I always look on Ebay first if I need to buy something. It’s amazing what great bargains you can get on Ebay.

I got scammed on Ebay once when I tried to buy a digital RSL camera. I was over the moon that I could buy it for aproximately $700, but when I paid for it I didn’t hear anything back and the camera never arrived. Turned out the account was hacked into and a fair few people got scammed. Ebay didn’t do anything about it and that $700 was a goner. It was an expensive lesson.

Ever since I pay everything with Paypal because at least you have buyer protection. Fortunately I’ve never been scammed again. My Paypal account gets topped up with money I make on the internet from selling text links, money4banners and paid posts. It’s my ‘play’ money. It’s money I can spend without feeling guilty about spending money.

I’ve bought lots of stuff on Ebay from new mobile phones, to Dr. Martens, to clothes, etc. Yesterday I had two packages in the mail, a book called “You can run, but you can’t hide” written by Dog the Bounty Hunter (which I finished reading last night) and new tracksuit pants from adidas for in the gym. Now I’m waiting for Gucci sunglasses that I bought for an extremely low prize. I just love Ebay, nothing beats a bargain!

Today my new Dr. Martens sandals finally arrived. I had bought them on Ebay - new in box for a great price - and had been waiting for them for over a week. Don’t you just hate the slow mail around Christmas time?

I absolutely love Dr. Martens - whether it is boots, shoes, sandals, etc - they come in the most amazing colors and designs and just last for ages.

I now have 2 pair of black boots, 1 pair of orange boots, 1 pair of red snake leather boots, 1 pair of blue boots, 1 pair of brown boots and now 4 pair of Dr. Martens sandals all in different designs. My collection is not complete though, I still want a pair of knee high boots, a pair of Mary Jane shoes and purple boots.

Since me and my hubby are on a tight budget I am a sucker for all things free. We don’t have the money to go out clubbing or spend our money on a night at the movies. We do however have nights out where it doesn’t cost us anything.

Here in Australia there is a poker league called APL and you play FREE poker with them. It’s heaps of fun. I love playing and it’s a great way to meet new people. Usually does poker nights are held in clubs that have a pokies room. Most pokies room have espresso machines or machines with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, etc. The clubs usually provide these drinks for free as an incentive for the people play the pokies machines a bit longer. Most of the times you even get a cookie with it too.

So, we play poker, get some drinks in the pokies room in the break and have a fun, free night out!
