PR Update

When I drop my EntreCard on other blogs I read lots of blogposts about the Page Rank update. Some are excited about an improved page rank, others got a slap on the wrist for writing sponsored posts. Personally I don’t care about page rank anymore. I’ve lost my PR3 months ago because every now and then I include links like term life insurance in my posts. I don’t care what Google thinks. I can use the money, so page rank or not I will continue doing my sponsored posts. How about you?

Thanks again!

I can’t believe we’re already living in July. Time goes so fast! This post comes a day later than I was planning on, but I guess it’s better late than never. EntreCard has been a pain in the bum to log in to lately. Anyway, I would like to thank all the EntreCard members who have dropped their card on my site. And a special thank you to my Top Droppers. The top 10 droppers for June are:

Social sparks are flying around the net

SocialSparkWhat do you get when you mix a social network site with a paid to blog company? You get sparks flying every where! SocialSpark is a great site where you can mingle with other bloggers and get paid for giving your own opinion. Who can resist that? I certainly couldn’t and signed up immediately when they send me an invitation. It is a great way for mommy bloggers, students and others to make some extra money.

SocialSpark is not like any other paid to blog site. It is a great way to socialize and make friends with people all around the world. You can create your own profile, make friends, send messages to other bloggers or advertisers and give people props (thumbs up or thumbs down) if you like their blog.

SocialSpark has a nice big list of opportunities for you to write about. Even if the opportunity isn’t available to you straight away, you can still take a slot. SocialSpark will send you an email when the opportunity is reserved for you. Another thing that is different about SocialSpark is the dynamic price system. The reward for writing the opportunity will depend upon the demand. If a lot of bloggers take the opportunity the price goes down, but if there are not many takers, the reward for writing the oppertunity will go up.

With SocialSpark you don’t have to worry about Google taking your page rank away, because all the links are search engine friendly (no-follow). Every sponsored post has 100%  transparacy with an in-post disclosure and the blogger get paid to give their own 100% real opinion. So if you want to make some money with your blog and socialize with other bloggers, sign up with SocialSpark. You won’t regret it!

Lighter menus plugin for Wordpress

Today I have installed a new Wordpress plugin called Lighter Menus. I wish I had discovered this plugin much sooner, because it makes browsing the Admin area of Wordpress so much easier. I never liked it how you sometimes have to click a couple of times before you get to the admin area you want. With lighter menus you can get anywhere you want with just one click.

By installing the lighter menu plugin you replace the normal navigation interface with drop down menu’s.  It is much more user friendly. It is fast to load, you can adapt the colors, has nice icons and takes up less room in your Wordpress 2.5 interface.

If you want to make your Wordpress admin area more user friendly as well, than download the Lighter Menus plugin here.
