Computer is fixed
Well, I guess the good news is that my computer is fixed. The bad news is that I’ve lost everything; 16 hours of music, personal photo’s, stock photo’s, programs, back ups of all my sites, important files, etc. It’s a big blow to have lost it all and start again with a clean computer. But it’s been a good lesson, a painful one, but nonetheless a good lesson; ALWAYS MAKE BACK UPS OF EVERYTHING THAT IS IMPORTANT!!!
I went to a ‘technical’ person to have a chat, but he was telling me lots of BS and it would come with a high prize tage. So I send my brother an email and he talked me through the whole process. Even with a clean computer I seem to have some problems; programs that don’t want to install, a shitty internet connection. But, soon my brother will fix my pc from a distant. I’ve installed a little program on my pc so he can take over my desktop and fix any problems when I’m online.
In the meantime I’m trying to get all my passwords back…

You can recover some or all of those files… it just costs money.

That totally sucks to lose everything! I haven’t done a back up in a long time, guess I better do one just in case…

@ Michael - I got a quote of $2500 for recovering those files. I thought that was ridiculous! I don’t have that kind of money.
@ Jazz - Yes, it really sucks.
