No holiday anytime soon

Now that I have my passport I’ve been trying to book a return flight to my home country. It is no problem at all to get a flight over there, but getting back Down Under is a whole different story. June/July/August are almost fully booked. There are seats available but they are very expensive. It is a bit of a bummer, because I can’t wait to see my new nephew.  We’ve looked at all different options including an around-the-world ticket.

What pisses me off about travel agents is that they advertise certain flights for certain prizes, but as soon as you set foot in their office it’s not available. They explained to us why the cheap flights went so fast and I understand all that. But… they advertise an around-the-world ticket for $2287 including taxes while inside the office they say that the cheapest flight ALL YEAR ROUND is $2900 without taxes. Now is that false advertisement or what?

The way it looks now we’re going to have to delay our trip to my home country until the prizes come down (end of September/October). Big bummer!
