If my head wasn’t attached to my body…
I surely would forget to bring it sometimes. I have been such a space head lately. It makes me wonder if I am really eh … *Born in 1978 - it’s 2008 now - Dang, I am almost 30!!!* … years old instead of 80 years. Yes, I even forget sometimes how old I am and not because I am vain or anything, but because it seems like my brain stops working every now and then. I actually have to calculate it sometimes when people ask me.
I seem to forget a lot lately. Not just where on earth I placed some stuff in my house, or what groceries I was supposed to get, or what appointments I had for that day, but also other simple stuff. Like where I have to go. Sometimes I wish I was like a computer and could buy memory to make my brain function better.
This week my hubby and I had to see a doctor in a suburb of the city. A suburb where we have never been before. So I looked up on the internet how to get there. Since I am not a fan of driving in the city (makes me way too stressed) we decided to go by train. The day before I kept telling myself “Put the letter with address in your bag - put the letter with address in your bag - put the letter with address in your bag!” And guess what happened? Exactly… I forgot!
So we get off the train in the suburb we had to be in and as I was standing on the train station it hit me; I did not know where to go. I did not had the address - I did not know the name of the medical center nor did I know the name of the doctor we had to see. I was cursing to myself - how could I forget something so important?
I did not know how to tell my hubby this, but as we walked away from the trainstation my hubby pointed to the nearest building and said: “Thank God that we don’t have to walk far, because I really don’t feel good!” Turned out the medical center was next to the trainstation and he remembered the name of the doctor as well. Phew! I can’t tell you how relieved I was.

It all starts at 30 in my opinion… and you’re younger than I am.
