Firefox screw up

Firefox LogoA few days ago I updated my Firefox browser. I always have the settings on automatically downloading the latest versions. According to the information it was just a ’security’ update, but ever since the new version is installed it is screwing up some of my favorite sites.

At first it was screwing up the lay outs of my favorite blogs, but that seem to have solved itself (maybe because of the wordpress 2.5 version?). But… somehow it doesn’t show all the images - for instance I can’t even see the header of my own blog and several (ad) images. I also have a problem with the Entrecard site. The lay out is totally mixed up and I can’t even approve new incoming ads. I have to log into the IE explorer to approve the ads.

Is anyone else experiencing these problems or have the slightest idea how to fix this? It’s kind of annoying!

Edit: I solved the problem by clearing the cache.

I have also been having problems with FF since its latest update. It crashes now more than ever and some sites take forever to load. It’s really aggravating.

I heard about people having problems with the newest Firefox, so I haven’t downloaded it.

Maybe when they fix it, I’ll upgrade. But I don’t know if Linky is available on the newest version which is another reason I didn’t upgrade.

Maybe you can find the older version somewhere online & download it?

Hmmm, I never had a problem like that…

Well, fortunately the problem is solved. I cleared the cache and everything looks fine right now. I still have the feeling however that it is not as fast as the previous the version.

After I updated the to the most recent version, firefox couldn’t access the internet at all. No pages were loading. Needless to say I quickly did a system restore and have been ignoring the message that says there’s a new update…

There’s a new version of Firefox on the horizon (Firefox 3) - I’ve been testing it for a couple of months, and it’s pretty good. I always found that Firefox 2 crashed a lot. :-/

@ Ben - Thanks for the tip. I have now installed Firefox 3 and it works great!
