Firefox screw up

Firefox LogoA few days ago I updated my Firefox browser. I always have the settings on automatically downloading the latest versions. According to the information it was just a ’security’ update, but ever since the new version is installed it is screwing up some of my favorite sites.

At first it was screwing up the lay outs of my favorite blogs, but that seem to have solved itself (maybe because of the wordpress 2.5 version?). But… somehow it doesn’t show all the images - for instance I can’t even see the header of my own blog and several (ad) images. I also have a problem with the Entrecard site. The lay out is totally mixed up and I can’t even approve new incoming ads. I have to log into the IE explorer to approve the ads.

Is anyone else experiencing these problems or have the slightest idea how to fix this? It’s kind of annoying!

Edit: I solved the problem by clearing the cache.

Biggest Loser Australia

Lately I have really been getting into the Biggest Loser Australia. It’s very motivational to see all these contestants lose so much weight. It’s kind of funny how they can get frustrated if they ‘only’ lose 3 kilo’s per week while I have been struggling to lose my 6 kilo’s since Christmas. I am proud to say that I have lost the 6 kilo’s that I wanted to lose in my New Years resolutions. I would have jumped for joy if I would have lost 3 kilo’s per week.

Anyway, my hubby asked me the other day who my favorite contestant was, but I really can not decide on who that is. The thing is that I hope they all could win, because they are all winners in my eyes. Imagine having to exercise about 5 hours a day on a 1200 calorie diet. You got to admire that. I don’t know if I would be willing to go through that.

Do you watch the biggest loser and who is your favorite?

Weekend away

Last Wednesday was our 4th wedding anniversary. I already knew that we wouldn’t celebrate it the way we would like to. Hubby’s is still not able to eat much now that he’s getting a new denture and he’s been feeling ill again lately. So we have decided to celebrate it by going away for a weekend.

We’ve been brainstorming, are we going to Byron Bay (hubby’s favorite), the Whitsundays, Branson resorts, Paris, London, etc? I am kind of leaning towards a weekend in Paris which we could easily fit in when we go back to Holland this year. Hubby has never been there and I would love to show him around.

Scrapping

One of my hobby’s is scrap-booking, or maybe I should say scrapping because I like to make all sorts of stuff from left-overs; scrapbooks, cards, boxes and much more. Since I am on a very small budget lately I have mainly done digital scrap-booking, but every now and then I still like to make the ‘real’ thing.

Whenever there is an occasion I like to make hand-made cards to send to my family and friends. I’ve been told a couple of times that I should start selling the cards that I make, but sometimes the supplies are expensive or I just don’t have enough left-overs or other stuff to make a lot of cards. Anyway, with all the new babies in our family I’ve been creative the last few weeks to make new cards.

It was a heap of fun, except for one little thing; I cut myself in my finger. Not a little cut, no a pretty deep cut that will probably leave me a nice scar. Hubby panicked straight away when he saw the blood. I felt sorry for him, because I am sure he got flashbacks of his own work accident where he lost two fingers. So to make him feel a bit better I have bought safety cutters that have a safety spring for automatic blade “shoot-back” into the handle in response to an uncontrolled movement. They’re pretty cool cut knifes and it just makes me want to make more cards. If only I had more material to work with.

Fame, money and rehab

Is it just me or does it seem like going to drug rehabilitation is the ‘in’ thing to do at the moment in Hollywood? One celebrity after another is going to rehab for various reasons; painkiller addiction, drug addiction, alcoholism, ‘depression’, etc.

I’ve seen with my own eyes how hard it can be to come off a painkiller addiction since my hubby is trying to come of his Oxycontin medication that the doctors prescribed after he lost his fingers. It is really hard without any professional help.

But it kind of makes me wonder… These celebrities seem to have it all; fame, money, anything they desire and yet they somehow screw up and get addicted to the wrong stuff. It’s kind of sad. I wish I had their bankroll though so I could put my hubby in rehab too.
