So I mentioned before that I wanted to have a real summer. After months of rain and cloudy weather we finally have a blue sky. It’s a gorgeous day, a little bit hot (35 degrees celcius), but perfect to go to the beach. But unfortunately my sweet hubby doesn’t want to go, because he can’t stand the heat with the medication he’s on.

So instead of having a dip in the seawater and body surf on the waves I have jumped on the exercise equipment in the air-conditioned gym. A bit later I am going to watch ‘The Kentucky Kid’ on MTV. The Kentucky kid is a documentary about 2006 MotoGP world champion Nicky Hayden. Can’t wait to see it.

And… the best of all: Superbikes & Supersport is back on TV!!! Tonight is the first race of the season in Qatar!

I love it when people are trying to make a statement through their fashion sense. Nothing is more boring than when everyone seems to wear the same thing. I have always made sure (and I still do) that my clothes are different from other people.

One clothing item that is perfect for making a statement - whether it is for a good cause or just for fun - is a t-shirt. Doesn’t it just totally brighten up your day when you see someone wearing a shirt with a funny text or picture on it? I know it puts a smile on my face.

Are you also sick of the Britney Spears mania?

Why is that everyone loves it so much when a celebrity falls apart? I really don’t care if Britney was seen again with or without underwear, I don’t care if Britney got herself another Starbucks coffee, I really don’t care if Britney went somewhere to rehearse her dance moves, etc.

It seem like every move she makes is important enough to post in every freaking celebrity magazine,  on celebrity websites and even newspapers. Are we really so shallow that we need to know that sort of stuff? Why not pay a bit more attention to stuff that really matters in the world?

I haven’t blogged for a couple of days, but I am back. Anyone watching American Idols? I had vowed to not watch it, but I couldn’t help myself. Somehow I am such a sucker for programs like that. I especially loved the auditions. It is amazing how many people show up and seriously think that they can sing. They need some tough love from their friends and family in my opinion.

I don’t have any favorites yet, although I like the dreadlock guy (sorry can’t think of the name). Great hair, great voice and great song choice! Who’s your favorite singer?
