When my partner had a work accident and lost two fingers they put him on heavy pain medication. At the time I was happy that they were able to manage his pain with a strong dose of Oxycontin. We are two and a half years down the road and he’s had a total of six surgeries. The accident has had a big impact on both our lives and we are trying to get our normal lives back.

The use of Oxycontin was very helpful after the accident and the surgeries, but unfortunately it has turned into a drug addiction. The drug is highly addictive and now my partner has to go through the difficult process of getting of the drug. The only help he received from his doctor is a prescription for an anti-depressant to help regulate his moods. It is really hard to see him go through all the pain and withdrawals without any help.
