Wordpress Upgrade 2.2.3 Available Now
Wordpress has come out with a new upgrade; 2.2.3 is a security and a bug-fix release for the 2.2 series. Two fixes are of high priority and Wordpress recommends that you upgrade immediately.
If you do not know how to upgrade your wordpress, I suggest you download the Wordpress Automatic Upgrade Plugin. It is a free plugin that automates the upgrade process for you. The pluging does the following:
- Backs up the files and makes available a link to download it.
- Backs up the database and makes available a link to download it.
- Downloads the latest files from http://wordpress.org/latest.zip and unzips it.
- Puts the site in maintenance mode.
- De-activates all active plugins and remembers it.
- Upgrades wordpress files.
- Gives you a link that will open in a new window to upgrade installation.
- Re-activates the plugins

Have you used the upgrade plugin before? It looks great, I’m just a little hesitant to try it for some reason.

Hi Steven,
Yes I have used this plugin in before. I have used it to upgrade to 2.2.2 and now to 2.2.3. I use it on all my blogs and the upgrade is just a breeze with this plugin
